Account Director

After a full semester of hands-on client experience at Backpack Communications, I was selected to serve as Account Director for my second semester in the program.

Chosen by our Program Director and the previous leadership team, I’ve built a reputation for strong communication, organization, and a solutions-oriented, people-centered approach.

In this role, I manage three client accounts of my own, oversee a total of nine client accounts, and collaborate closely with our team of eight account and project managers. I guide project strategy, support team operations, and ensure our student-run agency consistently delivers work that exceeds expectations.

Minnesota State Fair

Assignment:
Develop and execute 2–4 TikToks per month to maintain community engagement during the State Fair’s off-season.

Role:
Liaison between the client and creative team, translating goals, managing expectations, and ensuring all creative concepts and executions align with the State Fair’s brand and audience.

Approach:
Lead concepting and planning for each TikTok, coordinating closely with creative to bring ideas to life by providing detailed strategic direction to ensure every piece of content reflects the client’s engagement goals.

Results:
My team has maintained consistent audience engagement through timely, relevant content and strengthened client trust by delivering high-quality, on-brand TikToks month over month.

ServeMinnesota

Assignment:
Increase student awareness and engagement through ServeMinnesota’s Campus Campaign and annual Brand Awareness Survey.

Role:
As an Account Manager, I played a key role in client communication, ensuring all deliverables aligned with ServeMinnesota’s goals. I collaborated closely with project management to coordinate campus outreach while keeping team workflows on track under tight timelines.

Approach:
For the survey, I refined all questions for clarity and impact, ensuring wording and flow reflected the client’s strategic priorities. For the Campus Campaign, I worked with design, copywriting, and strategy to translate client needs into effective materials and coordinate smooth distribution across channels.

Results:
We secured newsletter, monitor, and flyer placements across different university departments, and collected 500+ survey responses, generating meaningful visibility and actionable insights for ServeMinnesota.
